Hope Brakefield, PA-C

Hospitalists

Why did you decide to go into medicine?

I have always been a compassionate person and I knew that I wanted to pursue a career where I could help others on their hardest days. I am the first in my family to go into the medical field, so it was a bit intimidating at first, but I truly feel that I was meant to be a health care provider.

What are you most likely to be found doing on the weekends?

I love being outdoors — anything from skiing in the winter, to hiking during the summer, to just getting fresh air in the backyard. You can pretty much always find me outside, regardless of the weather.

What’s your favorite thing to do in WNY?

Cheering on our Buffalo sports teams - Go Bills!!
