Kevin Krautsak, MD
Colonoscopists, Colon & Rectal Surgery

Why did you decide to go into medicine?
I’ve always felt a calling to help people. We all have different strengths and I realized the best way for me to help was through practicing medicine. I strive to simplify complex issues into terms easier to understand so I can work together with patients to make important medical decisions.
One thing people are surprised to learn about me:
I’ve been on a mission to make a perfect espresso for the past few years. My wife and I went on our honeymoon in Italy and I’ve been trying to recreate the food and drink from our trip ever since.
To me, treating people well means…
Treating them with respect, understanding, and kindness. Many patients first come to my office either scared or embarrassed to discuss their problems so I strive to put them at ease. I believe that’s the best way to foster good relationships.
One thing I can’t live without:
Chicken wings.
